Law360 (July 16, 2021, 8:45 PM EDT) — The FCC will be moving to update its rules on how internet voice calling services directly access people’s phone numbers and to solidify an appeals process for companies found to be flouting the agency’s caller ID spoofing prevention regulations.
The Federal Communications Commission has a slate of changes it wants to put in motion in August, starting with the agency’s open meeting, where it plans to launch a handful of notices of proposed rulemakings, and will consider handing down a few orders as well, it revealed Friday.
