MTN Rwanda, in partnership with KTRN, said it has lowered its 4G prices in order to continue providing affordable internet to all Rwandans. Customers can now get 4G data bundles at the same price as 3G bundles.
MTN said last year saw UMTS 850M/900M (U900) get deployed across the whole network countrywide. The population coverage went to 92 percent from 53 percent in 2017. This year, the operator will upgrade the capacity of existing 3G sites so that they can carry more traffic, and build more sites.
