NEW DELHI: Regulatory and operator relationship are the main challenges for a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO</a>) business in India, said Suneet Singh Tuli</a>, CEO, DataWind</a> in an ET Telecom webinar on Tuesday.
u201cAfter an operator overcomes regulatory challenges, comes the part where they have to launch their plans and that is when their relationship with people, regulatory, other operators comes into play,u201d said Tuli.

MVNOs operate by purchasing the services of existing mobile operators and utilising them to offer the services as part of their own brand.
In September last year, the Department of Telecom (
DoT</a>) received application s from 70 companies for the Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO) license. Future Group and Datawind were among the companies that applied for MVNO licenses.
