Telstra MVNO offering refurbished smartphones

Telstra’s carbon-neutral MVNO, Belong, announced it is partnering with Kingfisher to launch Second Life phones, which will offer used smartphones for value- and environmentally-conscious consumers. The program of used and refurbished devices offers varied and limited, mainly the Apple iPhone, plus some Samsung Galaxy devices at reasonable prices and is being marketed through a new TV ad on the main TV networks, YouTube and social media applications as an eco-friendly alternative way to promote second life phones. Being a product and marketing chef, Aaliah Eggins-Bryson states that she did not announce two Belong no Second Life services that: “Many Australians believe that mobile phones have no environmental impact material than other things in their lives, but, in truth, every year, or the world plays around 44.7 million tons of technology. This is why we launched the Second Life phones; because second life phones are more sustainable as they already exists.”
