West Plains, MO – Many business phone lines work through a voice over internet protocol, better known as VoIP. One of the nations’ largest providers, Bandwith Communications, is experiencing an incident that is impacting these services as well as Voice, V2 Voice, 911 Traffic, Portal and API services.
Ozark Radio News spoke with Ron Grennan of Grennan Communications about the outages:
“Certainly, the company, Bandwidth, who is probably the largest provider of voiceover IP services in the country, is experiencing some delays with toll-free messaging, V2 Voice, Standard Voice, 911 Traffic, et cetera. They are aware of the problem. They are working on it. We will try to put updates on our local Facebook page at Grennan Communications to let people know of any progress on it or when we have an all-clear.” – Ron Grennan of Grennan Communications
As a result of the outage, users could see a lack of incoming calls, one-way communication problems, not hearing ringing when calling out, or other problems.
This outage comes days after a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) cyber attack was carried out against Canadian VOIP provider Voip.ms.
