Internet Call Provider Failed to Serve Disabled Person, FCC Says – Bloomberg Law

An internet call provider failed to provide a disabled person proper access to product support information, the Federal Communications Commission said Wednesday.

ViaTalk LLC’s failure to provide the support to Cris Patterson violated Communications Act rules designed to ensure individuals with disabilities have access to information, the FCC order states.

ViaTalk provides a service that enables people to make phone calls over the internet within that service as well as to phones on the telephone network—also known as interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP.
