Vodafone Netherlands has introduced new postpaid plans, offering bigger data packages and the first three months unlimited internet. Vodafone said the offer will allow customers to test out the possibilities of its faster LTE network and meet the growing demand for streaming video over mobile devices. After the three months, they have the option to change their subscription plan at no extra cost.
The new range of Smart, Red and Black plans will be available from 04 April. Black is the new name for its high-end plan, offering unlimited calls and SMS in the Netherlands and 43 other countries, 100 minutes of international calls as well as 25 GB at home and 2 GB when roaming, for EUR 89 per month. In addition, use of Napster and Vodafone’s TV Anywhere service are included with no charge for associated data, and customers receive 50 GB online storage.
Customers combining Smart, Red or Black mobile plans with Vodafone’s fixed-line residential services will receive additional benefits of extra data or more TV channels, similar to KPN’s offer for fixed-mobile customers. Smart customers receive 1 GB extra data and one thematic TV package of choice and Red customers receive 3 GB and three TV packages.
All the plans will come with access to the highest available 4G speeds and unlimited SMS. Handsets will be offered for a single payment or on installment, and Sim-only customers can also choose to add a phone after two months.
The new Smart plans offer 150 minutes per month and a choice of 1.5 GB data for EUR 26 per month (EUR 21 in promotion) or 5 GB for EUR 30 (EUR 25). The Red plans add unlimited calls and 25 GB online storage and come with a choice of 1.5 GB for EUR 36 per month (EUR 26), 5 GB for EUR 40 (EUR 30) or 12 GB for EUR 46 (EUR 36).
Compared to its previous Red plans, Vodafone has slightly increased prices, while adding unlimited calls on the entry-level offer and increasing data on the top plans. All prices are based on a 24-month contract, Sim-only.
Vodafone will also continue its basic offer with the Start range of postpaid plans, which come with 150 minutes and unlimited SMS. No data costs EUR 12.50 per month (EUR 7.50), 500 MB is EUR 17.50 (EUR 12.50) and 1 GB costs EUR 21 per month (EUR 16). These plans do not benefit from the three-month offer of unlimited data.
