PETALING JAYA: NetX Holdings Berhad (NetX) announced yesterday that its subsidiary PayAllZ Sdn Bhd (PayAllZ) and XOX Wallet Sdn Bhd (XOX) are collaborating to develop an Electronic Payment Mobile Exchange (EPEx) that will allow every XOX subscriber to be an e-commerce merchant.
The collaboration will enable every subscriber to have a multitude of payment options such as Apply Pay, Samsung Pay, Wepay and Alipay, to accommodate to their e-commerce transactions, regardless via web browsers or on their mobile.
“With this technology and PayAllZ’s unique expertise in payment infrastructure, soon, all mobile subscribers can participate in this EPEx as an option for their e-commerce transactions,” NetX Group Berhad Executive Director Steve Tan explained in a media statement.
“This will also empower every XOX subscriber, be that they are in the urban or rural areas to participate and be a part of our country’s new Digital Free Trade Zone,” he added.
Tan also highlighted that the collaboration is in line with Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak’s vision of spearheading Malaysia to a digital nation, by giving greater empowerment to every mobile subscriber.
“All we need is to set the correct foundation and infrastructure that will allow for such global connectivity,” he said.
According to the Bursa announcement, the collaboration agreement is for an initial period of one year and renewed annually, to take effect on the date of the collaboration agreement, unless otherwise mutually extended or terminated.
PayAllZ has also very recently announced its entry into the IndoChina’s fintech market, via Cambodia.
