Swedish network software provider Enea has announced a new, significant agreement worth USD 5.3 million for mobile transmission control protocol (TCP) for a leading network operator in North America. The software was delivered in the fourth quarter 2018 and Enea has now finalised the agreement with terms that closes the deal. The deal includes software licences and associated support and maintenance, with the licence element worth USD 4.5 million, which will be recognised for Q4 2018.
The agreement covers software for mobile traffic management, which is part of Enea’s product portfolio since the acquisition of Openwave Mobility in February 2018. Enea said its software for mobile traffic management ensures efficient use of existing network resources, and helps the operator to provide the best service at the lowest possible cost.
