Ireland’s largest telecommunications firm is looking to strengthen its workforce as part of its strategic investment plan here.
Open to candidates who have passed their Leaving Certificate, this year’s programme will start in September and will run for a total of two years.
Some 120 apprentices have been hired so far as part of the eir programme and remain with the company two years later.
Director of Field Operations, Una Stafford, Director of Field Operations said that eir “are undertaking the largest broadband rollout programme across Europe”.
“We have huge ambition for Ireland and we are excited to tap into this market and find individuals whose ambition matches our own,” she said.
“It’s a real opportunity to get hands-on and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, getting unparalleled experience and being part of something that will change communities around the country.”
Customer service and assurance technicians roles are being made available as the company looks to focus on the maintenance and repair of equipment in the network.
The structured two-year programme will provide on-the-job learning, one-to-one coaching and formal classroom training – and successful applicants will also receive a Level 6 QQI award.
Top performers will be offered full-time roles with the company following the completion of each two year programme.
