China Mobile saw its operating revenue grow by 1.8 percent year-on-year to CNY 641.4 billion in 2014. Revenue from telecommunications services declined by 1.5 percent to CNY 581.8 billion in 2014. Data business revenue reached CNY 253.1 billion, up by 22.3 percent compared to the previous year and as a percentage of revenue from telecommunications services increased to 43.5 percent.
EBITDA amounted to CNY 235.3 billion at 31 December 2014, which represents a decrease of 2.1 percent from 2013. Profit also declined by 10.2 percent in the period to CNY 109.3 billion in 2014. China Mobile ended 2014 with over 800 million customers, up by 5.1 percent or 39.43 million customers compared with the end of 2013.
China Mobile proposed a final dividend of HKD 1.380 per share. Together with an interim dividend of HKD 1.540 per share already paid, the total dividend for 2014 amounts to HKD 2.920 per share, representing a dividend payout ratio of 43 percent.
