Brazilian regulator authorises Safra to operate as MVNO

Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has authorise another MVNO in the country. J Safra Telecomunicacoes is part of the same group that manages Banco Safra and will use Claro’s infrastructure to offer mobile phone services.

The publication in the Federal Official Gazette said that J Safra Telecomunicacoes is authorised to operate the Personal Mobile Service (SMP) for an indefinite period, in Regions I, II and III of the General Authorization Plan, that is, throughout Brazil.
