Mobile World Congress may have a reputation as a phone show, but HP used the event to launch an updated version of its 12 inch Windows tablet for business. And Chinese device maker TCL is launching a new 11.6 inch Windows tablet.

The Alcatel Plus 12 is a 2-in-1 tablet with a full HD display, a detachable keyboard with 4G LTE support.

The tablet features an Intel Celeron N3350 dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM and at least 32GB of EMMC storage and features a microSD card slot for removable storage.

There’s a 26.8 Wh/6900 mAh battery in the tablet, and support for 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2. And the tablet features a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint sensor, and a micro HDMI port and dual speakers.

As for the 4G LTE support? That’s built into the keyboard.

The Alcatel Plus 12 comes with a detachable keyboard that features an LTE modem that not only lets the tablet get online when there’s no WiFi handy, but which also serves as a hotspot for connecting up to 15 devices to the internet.

The keyboard features a 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A7 processor, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of storage, and a 2,580 mAh battery, and it connects to the tablet via a 7-pin connector. There’s also a full-sized USB port in the keyboard base.

Alcatel’s press kit also shows a pen and mentions support for Windows Ink features, but there’s no mention of the technology that pen uses.

The Alcatel Plus 12 tablet measures 0.3 inches thick, or about 0.6 inches with the keyboard. It weighs about 2.2 pounds.
